Gettin' Healthy: Cucumber Detox Water

I'm really trying to live more healthy green lifestyle, to take care of my body live less and experience more. Also I want to be the look and feel my best and the best way to do that is to get rid of toxins in your body. Since I knew once my birthday hit I was going to undergo this diet change,  I decided to have the last fried food dinner, which isn't the best way to really start your new diet but hell! The shamrock shake just came out at McDonald's and I'll be damn if I'm denied!

Now, that the fun is over and it's time to purify myself. I love to use pintrest to find cleanses and workout guides for my butt, abs, and arms. This time however, I went there to find a liquid cleanse that I could do online, something that surprisingly Google couldn't show me. 

This is called (you guessed it) Cucumber Detox Water. The recipe is from, I'm not sure how factual this is only because even on the website it doesn't show you how long you're supposed to do it, or if the person whom created it actually lost any weight but none the less it's worth the risk , none of the ingredients are harmful and I have most of them at home. 

The recipe is as follows:

1 cucumber sliced

1 lemon sliced

1/2 cup of mint leaves

1 tbsp of grated ginger (or organic ginger powder)

with 6 oz of water. 

Mix ingredients and let refrideragates over night. Highly recommend straining the mixture in to a cup because there's alot of mint leaves that, to me. I don't like to drink.  I did make a slight adjustment to the to the recipe instead of adding 6 oz of water I added about a pitcher full, just because that's a lot of ingredients for such a little bit of water. 

Benefits of each ingredients are as follows...

Cucumbers are full of water and  fiber which helps flush out toxins in the body. 

Mint stimulates the digestive track and it acts as an appetite suppressant. 

Lemons also help suppress appetite, are high in fiber and increases urination.. which I guess is good. 

Please remember cleanses only work if you do! No processed foods, and working out will help you get the most out of this cleanse.
