Masturbating During Childbirth, Good Or bad Idea?

You ever have sex so good and an mind blowing orgasm that it makes you forget about all the pain and hurt in your life? Well some women are taking that thought process literally. Some women think that masturbating while in labor can help with labor pains. Well I guess what put it in can take it out right?

Take for example Gallo. Her first birth was done in the traditional way, in a hospital with enough medicine to sedate a small calf ending with the baby having to be birth with the assistance of a vacuum.

Her second child she decided to have on her own terms. She decided to do the bulk of her labor at home with her husband and a doula.

She tells Vice " As I neared transition, near the end of labor I was feeling vulnerable and stressed out. I went to the shower to find some relief and my husband asked if I would like to have sex. I said no, but it reminded me that I could self stimulate. The second I started clitoral stimulation, the resting periods between contractions were more pleasurable, and I could use more force to meet the climax off the contractions."

Apparently the hormones in birth and sex are identical. The same endorphin's that you feel during a climax and pushing out a baby are the same.

I don't know much about child-birth, but I know plenty about sex. And I can tell you if feeling a little bit of pleasure between contractions help ease the pain with out being doped up, I'm all for it. When you really think about it, it's kind of like having a piece of candy before a sip of medicine. The pleasure before pain. I just can't get the image of a baby coming out with "pleasure" all over his/her face.
