The Rules Of Exfoliating

After a long day and a full face it always feels good to give your skin a good scrub down. Exfoliaters are my go to skin care products because they do an amazing job of revitalizing the skin and giving it a refreshed appearance. But there is a such a thing as too much of a good thing...

While exfoliating should be a major staple in any skin-conscious girl's skincare wardrobe, it shouldn't be used everyday. Experts say you should only use them -max- once or twice a week depending on how much make up you wear and what the weather is like in your area. Any more than that you might experience dryness, or a tight feeling as well as peeling and redness on your skin ( Oh no!😞) especially if you're not following up with a really good soothing moisturizer.

If you must exfoliate opt for something a little less physical. Chemicals such as enzymes and hydroxy acid formals also help remove dead skin  but are gentle enough to use nightly. But always listen to your skin and try not to over do itπŸ™…. A good rule of thumb is if you've already done a scrub, don't use a exfoliating treatment. You don't want to end up looking like you had a bad chemical peel!
